like it or not, this whole "democratic game" is after all, a game with its own rules, and the rules are such that you have to pander to the tastes of ordinary people, the average of whom have average intelligence. for this purpose, to a certain extent, you have to speak their language, find out what they want. it seems to me that Carrie Lam has been learning fast, and that is, education. while housing is a most critical issue, it takes years to deliver. but education ... throw in an extra $5 billion, and it will become the talk of town soon after 1 July.
