Questions of the Past
The internet is a great thing. I have so many questions which have bothered me for years, such as the meaning of "foreshadowed motion", and now I have the answers at my fingertips, thanks to Yahoo! and Google :
'Foreshadowed motion' means a motion of which notice is hereby given before or during a debate on another motion, and which is contrary to the intention of the original motion. If the original motion is carried, the foreshadowed motion lapses; but if the original motion is lost, the foreshadowed motion is dealt with as the next business, provided that (except where moved by the Chair) it is seconded before being placed before the meeting by the Chair. In speaking against the original motion, the mover (and seconder, if any) of a foreshadowed motion may explain the foreshadowed motion. 'Foreshadowed amendment' has a corresponding meaning ...........
I remembered this cheer as a child watching Bugs Bunny, but never knew the words until now :
Bricka-bracka firecracker sis-boom-bah!
Bugs Bunny! Bugs Bunny! RAH RAH RAH! ...............
And the cartoon "Roger Ramjet" theme song :
Roger Ramjet and his Eagles
Fighting for our freedom
Fly through an' in outer space
Not to join 'em, but to beat 'em
When Ramjet takes a Proton Pill
The crooks begin to worry
They can't escape their awful fate
From Proton's mighty fury ................

Mom's condition
Here are my views on "exercise" in Mom's condition :
Yes :
putting clothes inside the washing machine.
folding clothes.
doing exercise in the backyard, stretching legs, doing tai-chi.
walking, window shopping, enjoying company of a friend, buying clothes.
No :
grocery shopping (unless we carry everything to our car, and she simply chooses the food, etc.).
carrying extra bags except her own lady's bag.
carrying laundry in and out of the house / up and down the stairs (can faint).
drying / removing clothes in the backyard under the hot sun or cold wind.
cleaning the house / vacuum cleaning / mopping the floor.
Sometimes / not sure :
cooking breakfast / lunch / dinner (a patient / old lady should be on meals on wheels rather).
changing the bed sheets which may involve a lot of stretching and pulling?
Risks :
taking a bath / shower alone (we should check every 5 minutes).
taking hot shower (heart pressure).
being alone in the house (except with the safety bell).
going up and down the stairs.
